The Llano Library began Back to Basics programs in the spring of 2013 with a series of programs and workshops.

​

Since that time, monthly programs covering a large variety of sustainable living topics have been held at the Library.  Three years ago a Seed Library and Sustainable Living Collection of books were added to the Library.

​

The first Back to Basics Fair was held in May of 2019 with 11 exhibitors, 4 speaker sessions, and 1 make & take project. Community response to the event was tremendous and afterward a committee was formed to promote the next Fair which is scheduled for February 2020.

​

The 2nd Annual Back to Basics Fair will be an all-day event -- still FREE to attend -- featuring many more exhibitors inside and outside the Library and two stages to feature speakers throughout the day. A new addition will be vendors selling the products they make, and an outdoor food court.

​

The Back to Basics Fair is promoted as a venue where everyone can get practical skills and useful information about  
a wide variety of topics from people just like you who are embracing a more sustainable lifestyle.
